ECS now provides telehealth for floridians

Our team is composed of therapists and specialists who are part of the Black, queer, and polyamorous communities. When you sit with us, you're sitting with someone who already understands the world you're navigating.
Every person who meets with us carries a story shaped by identity, culture, and the world around them. You won't need to preface your healing with an explanation of who you are or how you love. We're already there with you.
Our office is in Cypress, Texas, and we provide virtual care for clients throughout Texas and Florida, including people in El Paso, Corpus Christi, Laredo, and the Rio Grande Valley.
Too many people feel like they have to translate their lives or filter their stories just to be understood by a provider. We wanted to create a place where you can leave that burden at the door and finally focus on your actual healing.
We are not just professionals who work with the community. We are the community. We are Black and queer and we navigate polyamory in our own lives. We started this practice so you could meet with someone who already speaks your language and understands your reality.
Being tolerated is not the same as being affirmed. We moved beyond the bare minimum of safe spaces to center your identity and relationship structure as a source of strength. We are here to ensure you never have to defend who you are while you are trying to grow.
You should not have to pay a therapist to educate them on your culture or how your relationship works. We skip the basic explanations because we are already grounded in those realities. This saves you the emotional labor of catching a provider up so we can focus on your progress from day one.
High quality and affirming care should not depend on your zip code. We recognized that marginalized communities often have to settle for providers who don't get them. We started this to make sure specialized support reaches every corner of Texas and Florida.

Supervised by Daniel Garza, LPC-S
My passion for counseling is rooted in the belief that healing is a collaborative act of resistance against systems that often overlook our lived experiences. I provide a trauma-informed sanctuary where your identity—whether it be your heritage, neurotype, relationship structure, or how you move through the world—is honored as a source of strength, not a problem to be solved. I specialize in supporting those navigating life at the intersections of identity: individuals processing intergenerational trauma, systemic discrimination, or societal pressures; those in the "in-between" of bicultural identity or major life transitions; LGBTQ+ and Polyamorous communities seeking authentic affirmation; neurodivergent thinkers who've been forced to comply with "typical" standards; and professionals or creatives searching for a path back to themselves.
My approach reaches beyond standard talk therapy, integrating Trauma-Informed Expressive Arts for experiences words alone cannot carry, and Collaborative Narrative Therapy to help you reclaim your story from harmful narratives. I also draw from Systems-Informed Care to address family dynamics and cultural heritage, while incorporating mindfulness and mind-body practices to support your nervous system. Life often feels like performing a script you never signed up for, and you shouldn't have to explain your existence before you can begin healing. In our space, we honor your story without the pressure to be perfect—using creative tools and mindful reflection to build a life that feels authentic, safe, and entirely your own.
Sessions with Katrina are $150 as well for individual, family, and couples
