ABOUT SHAUNE

   I am a licensed social worker (LMSW) in Houston, Texas. I graduated in 2022 with a bachelor’s in social work from Indiana University and went on to pursue my master’s with them as well. I identify as an Afro-Latina women who enjoys working with clients, women and children of color who have experienced some form of mental, emotional, physical and sexual abuse. 

I’m Dedicated to helping my clients work through past or current experiences that cause feelings of self-doubt, depression, anxiety, and shame. I also specialize in working with children who struggle with school issues that may cause anxiety, low self-esteem and/or suicidal ideation.

I utilize narrative theory, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and attachment theory as the bases for my therapeutic approach. Throughout my mental health career, I have gained experience working in crisis management, substance use, domestic violence and severe mental health crises. 

As your therapist, my goal is to ensure you feel heard, understood, and empowered. We will work together in a non-judgmental way to recognize you can achieve fulfillment in your life's journey.

ABOUT BRYAN

 I am a graduate student pursuing my Master of Education in Counseling and Development with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT). My journey toward becoming a therapist began with a deep belief in the importance of building healthier relationships with families who struggle with acceptance of their loved ones sexuality. I am passionate towards teens' mental health and helping them better understand themselves and their sexuality and gender identity. I also have a passion to work with couples who want to rebuild trust in their relationship after abuse or infidelity. I dedicate time to building my clinical skills to ensure I am providing the best non-judgmental and affirming care for those who trust me to be their therapist on their healing journey.

My goal is to empower you to overcome the obstacles in your life and to help you create boundaries and confidence for the future you envision for yourself. I am committed to being a compassionate and understanding therapist who listens to my clients and helps them to find their voice and strength.

ABOUT JADE

 I am a wife, daughter, sister, friend, veteran, but first I am human. I am all about holding space and providing a safe environment for others to heal or, simply, speak free of judgment. I believe it is important to have a safe space and team mate to make life flow even when things feel "blah". I am extremely passionate about normalizing and bringing awareness of mental health into the lives of BIPOC and members of underserved communities. I take pride in supporting people from all walks of life as they find themselves and better their connections.

ABOUT RAE

I am a Black-Queer therapist in Houston specializing in all relationship types, family, teens, and LGBTIA+ counseling and therapy services. I graduated in 2017 from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and LGBTQIA+ studies. After graduating, I immediately entered the mental health field assisting youth, adults, and families with various life goals in different sections of their lives. I attended the intensive three-year program at Our Lady of the Lake University where I received my Master’s in psychology.  I have years of experience volunteering with LGBTQIA+ youth to build a better future for them and their families. My training and experience has enhanced my knowledge and approach to working in mental health.
